DAYTOURDiversions in Upper-Meuse

Although we sometimes may lack somewhat more sunshine, our region bursts of treasures like bucolic valleys, historic castles and fortresses, breathtaking lanscapes, natural sites, ancient buildings and famous gastronomy.

Day Tour nr 1: Our daytour will take you to the discovery of these treasures in a pleasant yet interesting way by taking you to:- the northern Meuse valley: Bouvignes and the ruins of Crèvecoeur,- the Molignée valley: Warnant, the snailfarm, the ruins of Montaigle, Maredsous (with free time and possibility to taste their abbey bread & cheese with a beer) and Maredret,- the southern Meuse valley: Anthée, Miavoye, Hastière, Waulsort, Freÿr, Dinant, Falmignoul (breathtaking vue on the valley and tasting of 4 different beers at the Caracole brewery),- the Lesse valley: Vêves and Celles (one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Wallonia),- return to Dinant via the Charlemagne viaduct (with "helicopter" view on Dinant).Day Tour nr 2: In the morning: guided tour of the splendid Gardens of Annevoie, Major Inheritance of Wallonia. During the walk you will discover the rivers, fountains and cascades that flow through the garden. The Gardens of Annevoie - 15-07-2005sent in by street_joTowards 13h00 you will embark for a guided rivercruise on the Meuse, from Dinant to the Castle of Freÿr, with its air of Versailles, and return. A buffet (or meal, if you prefer) on board is at your disposal while you admire the panorama of the valley.

For those who, unfortunately, have a tight timing, we can suggest a half day tour, allowing to discover one or two points of their interest. Many combinations are possible: Annevoie, Vêves, Freÿr, ... You name it. We'll arrange it. Example:
